Our Little Republican

The phone rang the other day and it was a telemarketer so I hung up. Alex asked who it was and I said no one I wanted to talk to. She said - "Was it a DEMOCRAT?!" I said, may have been, they wanted me to give them money. She said "Was it a Democrat" with such sheer surprise and exclamation I nearly died laughing. - originally said 7/23/06

Get the Fever Down

Grandma Shirley gave Alex a tepid bath to try and get her fever down. Once out of the bath, Alex asked if the fever had gone down to her feet. Grandma simply replied, “I think it went down the drain with the bath water.” originally said 6/7/07

Potty Reward

While in the throes of potty training Paige gets candy as a reward for going potty. As I was going potty, she says to me – “You get candy?”.

Light of God

We had to take the girls to one of our Baptismal meetings one Sunday. As Mr. Dave explained the candle as a symbol of baptism, Paige says “It’s like a magic wand!” originally said 11/4/07

Fat Tuesday - As Explained by Alex

“Fat Tuesday is where you eat and eat and get fat…like _______(someone we know)…but I won’t say that around him”. Can you tell we are working on tact?!

1st Sleepover

Alex and Paige are having their first official sleepover tonight!

I managed to get them calm enough for a thirty second photo session.

Paige - Funny Girl

Paige has become quite the individual in the past few months. If you ask me, she has exceptional grammar for a 3 year old....case(s) in point...

While buckling Paige in her car seat I was asking her a question she did not want to answer. Her response - "Just get in the car and drive".

While lying down watching tv I was trying to talk to her about going potty. She said, "Let's not talk".
